J. Ramón Navarrete

José Ramón Navarrete is the driving force behind Metro Dance Club. Through his work leading the club in Bigastro, he has shared a love for electronic music with several generations, transforming a former movie theater into one of Spain’s leading techno venues. For more than 35 years, he has built his path with consistency, character, and an unwavering passion for electronic music and for Metro, now considered one of the country’s temples of the genre.

Both a witness to and a key figure in the club’s growth, José Ramón has seen the scene evolve from vinyl to digital technology while always preserving the same core values: respect for the music and for the dance floor as a space for community. Under his vision, Metro has become more than a club that books artists—it creates culture and experiences where light, sound, and energy move in sync. He has also launched initiatives such as the record labels Metro Dance Records and Metro Black Series, as well as Metro Dance School, supporting the development of new generations of artists.
